No problems Jane, don't worry about it. There is nothing to forgive. It just shows how much you love and miss your Son and I know what it feels like to have a bad day.

Hello Jane,

I am so sorry if you misunderstood the poem left on your Son's site. It is a poem that was passed on to me and it is from a Mother to her Son so it is meant to be from you to your Son.

I know many people have left things on my Rebecca' site and when you read the poems it sounds like they are her Mother, not me but it is just the way it is worded.

As I say it is a poem that was passed to me and I thought I would share it with other people who have lost their children.

Hello Jane,

Just wanted to share this with my GTS friends:-

Whilst at my Church a few weeks ago I was sat there, tears streaming down my face thinking of my Rebecca and looking at her empty chair where she always sat, when the Speaker read out a poem for some upliftment for us. Despite the tears, I had to smile and I hope it brings a smile to your face although I know times are so difficult for all of us as we struggle every day without our loved ones:-

In the beginning God covered the earth with broccoli, cauliflower and
spinach, with green, yellow and red vegetables of all kinds so Man and
Woman would live long and healthy lives.
Then using God's bountiful gifts, Satan created Dairy Ice Cream and
Magnums.
And Satan said, 'You want hot fudge with that?
And Man said, 'Yes!'
And Woman said, 'I'll have one too with chocolate chips'.
And lo they gained 10 pounds.
And God created the healthy yoghurt that woman might keep the figure
that man found so fair.
And Satan brought forth white flour from the wheat and sugar from the
cane and combined them.
And Woman went from size 12 to size 14.
So God said, 'Try my fresh green salad'.
And Satan presented Blue Cheese dressing and garlic croutons on the side.
And Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast.
God then said 'I have sent you healthy vegetables and olive oil in
which to cook them'.
And Satan brought forth deep fried coconut king prawns, butter-dipped
Lobster chunks and chicken fried steak, so big it needed its own platter.
And Man's cholesterol went through the roof.
Then God brought forth the potato; naturally low in fat and brimming
with potassium and good nutrition.
Then Satan peeled off the healthy skin and sliced the starchy centre
into chips and deep-fried them in animal fats adding copious quantities
of salt.
And Man put on more pounds.
God then brought forth running shoes so that his Children might lose those
extra pounds.
And Satan came forth with cable TV with remote control so Man would
not have to toil changing the channels.
And Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering light and
started wearing stretch jogging suits.
Then God gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and
still satisfy his appetite.
And Satan created McDonalds and the 99p double cheeseburger.
Then Satan said 'You want fries with that?' and Man replied, 'Yes, and super-size 'em'. And Satan said, 'It is good.'
And Man and Woman went into cardiac arrest.
God sighed......... and created quadruple by-pass surgery.
And then............ Satan chuckled and created the National Health Service.

So, I just wanted to say, even if I never talk to you again in my life, you are special to me and you have made a difference in my life. I look up to you, respect you, and truly cherish you. Send this to all your friends, no matter how often you talk, or how close you are, and send it to the person who sent it to you. Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell new friends you never will. Remember, everyone needs a friend. dont ever leave the one u love for the one u like, because the one u like will leave u for the one they love.
If you wake up in a red room with no windows and doors, DON'T panic.. you're just in my heart!!! Send this to all the friends you want to keep forever...

Thank you for your message Jane, and I know what you mean about not wanting to live without your son. I have lost both of mine and have nothing left to live for. I will never see my sons children, and that really hurts. Chris' baby was stillborn so all I have is his grave, just as I have my sons' graves. However, they would never want me to be unhappy, so I try to stay above it all and just take baby steps, a day at a time. You take care, God Bless xxx
